The eleventh season of the Indian Premier league 2018 – India’s most popular domestic twenty20 cricket tournament – is scheduled to run from April 7 till May 27, 2018. Former IPL champions Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings who are set to return after having served a two-year suspension will replace Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiant.
Indian Premier league 2018: Tournament Format
During the league stage, each of the eight teams will play every other team twice (double round-robin), once at its own home ground and once at that of its opponent. The top four teams at the conclusion of the league round will qualify for the playoffs consisting of two qualifiers, one eliminator and the final.
The top two teams will clash in qualifier 1 where the winner gets a direct entry to the final while the loser gets one more shot at making the finals day. The eliminator will be played between the third and the fourth ranked teams. The loser of this match will get knocked out while the winner will still have to play the loser of qualifier 1 in qualifier 2. The team that wins this match will fight for the IPL 11 trophy with the winner of qualifier 1 in the final.

RCB have retained their skipper in Virat Kohli along with Sarfaraz Khan and South African batting maestro AB de Villiers. Kolkata Knight Riders Betting Tips & Odds
The Knight Riders have seven overseas players in their 19-man squad. West Indian all-rounders Sunil Narine and Andre Russell are the ones to have been retained by the franchise. Australian players Chris Lynn and Mitchell Starc are their top purchases this season. Their bench strength looks weak at the moment and a few of their overseas recruits like Lynn, Starc and Johnson are prone to injury.
KKR 2018 Squad

Mumbai Indians Betting Tips & Odds
They have retained skipper Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya and Jasprit Bumrah for this season. The Indians have reached their maximum quota of eight overseas signings and have completed their squad with 25 players. Though they do have good all-round options and plenty of batting depth, the lack of specialist spinners in the side will be a major concern for them.
MI 2018 Squad

Delhi Daredevils Betting Tips & Odds
The Daredevils have retained batsmen Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer along with South African all-rounder Chris Morris from the previous season. Their squad features a lot of explosive batsmen and their stock of overseas fast bowlers looks pretty solid too. Australian limited-overs specialist Glenn Maxwell is their most expensive purchase of the IPL 11.
DD 2018 Squad
Colin Munro, Jason Roy, Gautam Gambhir, Prithvi Shaw, Manjot Kalra, Shreyas Iyer, Glenn Maxwell, Rishabh Pant, Naman Ojha, Chris Morris, Vijay Shankar, Abhishek Sharma, Gurkeerat Singh, Daniel Christian, Amit Mishra, Rahul Tewatia, Sandeep Lamichhane, Jayant Yadav, Shahbaz Nadeem, Harshal Patel, Mohammed Shami, Kagiso Rabada, Avesh Khan, Trent Boult, Sayan Ghosh
Kings XI Punjab Betting Tips & Odds
Left-arm spinner Axar Patel is the only one who has been retained by the KXIP in their current 21-man squad. Andrew Tye and Marcus Stoinis are two of their seven overseas recruitments who are in good form but Chris Gayle and David Miller have not been at their best of late. The team’s biggest worry though is the lack of a specialist wicket-keeping option.
KXIP 2018 Squad
Aaron Finch, KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Chris Gayle, Karun Nair, Yuvraj Singh, David Miller, Manoj Tiwary, Akshdeep Nath, Axar Patel, Marcus Stoinis, Manzoor Dar, Mujeeb Zadran, Pardeep Sahu, R Ashwin, Mayank Dagar, Ankit Rajpoot, Mohit Sharma, Barinder Sran, Andrew Tye, Ben Dwarshuis
Chennai Super Kings Betting Tips & Odds
CSK have retained their skipper MS Dhoni along with top-order batsman Suresh Raina and all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja. They went only for the seasoned campaigners on the first day of the auction and picked up eight uncapped players the very next day. Pacemen Lungi Ngidi and Mark Wood are part of the Super Kings’ 25-man squad but they don’t have any experience of playing in Indian conditions.

Rajasthan Royals Betting Tips & Odds
The Royals have retained Australian star batsman and skipper Steven Smith who is likely to lead the team in this year’s Indian Premier League. They bagged the two most expensive signings at the player auction – England ace all-rounder Ben Stokes and Indian seamer Jaydev Unadkat who had an impressive IPL season last time. The team is a fine mix of big-hitting batsmen and threatening fast bowlers but seems slightly short on spin options.
RR 2018 Squad

IPL 2018 Prediction: Who will win the 11th edition?
Mumbai Indians clinched the tittle last season and so they will kick-off the IPL 2018 as the defending champions. Their victory in the previous edition made them the most successful team of the tournament with three title wins, and all of those wins have come in the past five seasons. Though their bench strength may not be that impressive this time around, they still boast a lot of quality all-rounders on their roster and potential match-winners who can turn the game on its head in no time. We thus predict Mumbai Indians to lift the trophy second time in a row.
